Wiretapppp: Comey Lied, Clapper Lied, Rice Lied, The Mainstream Media Lied.
On March 21st, Politifact published an article titled, “A timeline of Donald Trump’s false wiretapping charge.” The article jabs at discrediting the President’s claims that Obama government officials wiretapped his phones in Trump Tower.
By doing so, they reference the silence of the Trump administration especially from White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer in order to further lambast how they deemed appropriately on those claims. They also sought to self aggrandize former FBI director James Comey, who was beleaguered by the left for the letter he sent to Congress before the 2016 presidential election which revealed Anthony Weiner had classified information on his laptop. It was a move of supreme hypocrisy and certainly was revealing at the time of the Democratic Party to beg Comey to fight for them in this political jauntlet to support the resist movement.
James Comey Lies
James B. Comey testified in March, “I have no information that supports” President Trump’s accusations that Obama ordered wiretapping at Trump Tower. A number of news outlets also declared that the false statements from the White House proved a pattern of behavior that poses a danger to the U.S. national security.
Here was James Comey testifying whether there was evidence for Trump’s claims that he was wiretapped in Trump Tower during the campaign.
And the mainstream media felt they were given an easy pass by Trump himself to ridicule the President at the time even following House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes’ vindicating his remarks.
Nunes has been in a fight to subpoena the FBI and Justice Department for the faux dossier created against Trump and Russia.
The Mainstream Media Lies
Here is the hypocrisy from the media outlets in March after Trump made his claims to right now when it was reported there was evidence of Manafort being wiretapped:
CNN – (Before) Jake Tapper: Trump’s wiretap claims were lies
Huffington Post – (Before) Here Is Trump’s Absurd Defense For His Wiretap Claim
Washington Post: (Before) Trump, citing no evidence, accuses Obama of ‘Nixon/Watergate’ plot to wiretap Trump Tower
Susan Rice Lies
The certainty of this revealing find is that there was clearly an attempt at wiretapping in Trump Tower against former campaign manager Paul Manafort by Obama government officials including a transcript leaked to Susan Rice, the US National Security Advisor under Obama, who then leaked it to the Washington Post.
Rice went on a spree to divert attention to the fact that she remissfully attempted to unmask Trump campaign officials for the US government.
Rice initially said she knew nothing about the unmasking, later admitting it was part of her job. Even Rand Paul (R-KY) came out denouncing these claims saying that there was a major reverse targeting on ordering the surveillance and urged Rice testify under oath which she subsequently did. Witchhunt, much?
James Clapper Lies
In March former Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, who has become a political pawn of the left said,
“For the part of the national security apparatus that I oversaw as DNI, there was no such wiretap activity mounted against the President-elect at the time, or as a candidate, or against his campaign.”
When asked if a FISA warrant to tap Trump’s phone at Trump Tower, Clapper responded, “I can deny it.”
Investigators continued the push to monitor Paul Manafort in 2017 after discontinuing to do so before they another FISA warrant, according to the report.
The intelligence during the surveillance point to Manafort pushing Russian officials to help try to get then-candidate Donald Trump elected. Sources have told CNN that the evidence was not conclusive.
Like Michael Flynn, there is a major attempt to indict Manafort with efforts to discover collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Manafort Virginia home was raided in July by FBI agents who were looking for financial documents related to the election.
The report also indicates that Manafort had not been surveilled on the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting where Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and Manafort met with Kremlin-linked attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya which turned into a discussion on the Magnitsky Act.
Hired Special Counsel Robert Mueller is still searching for evidence of Russian involvement in the 2016 election while Manafort is certainly a prime player in that. had his Virginia home raided in July by FBI agents who were looking for financial documents related to the election.
