CNN’s Disastrous Week

On Monday, CNN resigned three journalists after they embarked on a smear campaign against former Trump aide Anthony Scaramucci. The journalists claimed that Scaramucci met with the head of a Russian investment fund shortly before the President’s inauguration.

CNN later retracted the story noting that it had not come to par with CNN’s editorial standards.

This latest incident mounts a growing concern over the network’s capability of covering the President fairly. In the meantime, Trump is keen on branding CNN as “Fake News” to which most of his supporters, Republicans, Conservatives, Libertarians, Moderates, and the Google search engine have acknowledged.

Aside from his biggest foe, Trump is also at war with the rest of the mainstream media establishment. Since the time Trump has been President, he has refused to interview on CNN. Aside from Fox, Trump chooses his cable networks sparingly with the exception of his sit-downs with CBS’s John Dickerson and NBC’s Lester Holt.

There has still been no evidence of Russia collusion and the Trump campaign, though there has been continued efforts to paint the scenario as fire where there is only heavy smoke. Big name Democrats like Rep. Adam Schiff of California, Former NSA Director James Clapper, and even Rep. Maxine Waters of California have admitted to no collusion even though Waters and her constituents are attempting to write up Impeachment documents.

With CNN’s latest blunder, the White House now has the ammunition to further go after and discredit news organizations.

CNN responded in a statement of the misstep of their journalists:

“CNN.com published a story connecting Anthony Scaramucci with investigations into the Russian Direct Investment Fund. That story did not meet CNN’s editorial standards and has been retracted. Links to the story have been disabled. CNN apologizes to Mr. Scaramucci.”

Trump took to Twitter with a series of tweets on Tuesday to clamp down on CNN’s phony Russia story and “Fake News” in general.

Despite the feud between Trump and the network, CNN’s President Jeff Zucker believes his network is thriving, though the ratings suggest otherwise.

On a news panel with high school dropout and pandering Liberal Youtube sensation Casey Neistat, to which Zucker purchased the rights to Neistat’s mobile service Beme for $25 million, the qualmed CNN leader weighed in on the recent revelations.

“Just because somebody says you are not trustworthy, that doesn’t mean it is so,” Zucker said. “CNN’s brand equity is built over 37 years doing hard work in very dangerous places; those who rely on CNN trust CNN more than ever.”

Project Veritas

The conservative undercover journalist group recorded CNN Supervisor John Bonifield during a one on one meeting. The video apparently shows Bonifield describing Jeff Zucker’s intention to continue the Russia story on his network for purposes of ratings even though there was no damning evidence against the Trump administration.

Bonnifield speaks of Zucker’s intentions nearly one minute into the video. He mentions Zucker telling his staff to shift the narrative to Russia following President Trump’s decision to back out of the Paris Climate Deal.

“And the CEO [Zucker] of CNN said in our internal meeting, he said, good job everybody covering the climate accords… but we’re done with that, let’s get back to Russia,” Bonnifield can be heard saying.

Bonnifield also discusses the President’s branding of the media’s smear campaign as being a ‘total witch hunt.’

“I think the President is probably right to say, like, look, you are witch hunting me.”

CNN released a statement following the Veritas video of the Bonnifield conversation:

“CNN stands by our medical producer John Bonnifield. Diversity of personal opinion is what makes CNN strong. We welcome it and embrace it.”

Project Veritas also linked up with a man, who appeared to be Van Jones, one of CNN’s most prominent political commentators, on a break from the studio.

Van Jones can be heard describing the Trump/Russia coverage as “a big nothingburger.”

On Thursday, CNN’s New Day host Chris Cuomo lashed out at the Trump administration, as he always does, comparing the use of the term “Fake News” to the n-word for journalist. His comments has received enormous criticism.

Trump also fired back at the crew of Morning Joe, particularly host Joe Scarborough’s colleague and now fiance Mika Brzezinski.

The duel tweets sparked outrage in the Twitter community and portrays a growing hostility between Trump and the Mainstream Media.

The consistent heretics by journalist and the marginal coverage surrounding tax reform and the new healthcare bill depict a media that has abandoned the traditional ‘fair and balanced’ news coverage. Distrust in the media is currently reaching new lows and represents a divided country.

Though Trump is indisputably fulfilling his campaign promises to the American People, the media is growing relentless in their attacks against the President, his family, the administration, and democracy.
