State Department officials on Thursday have begun rolling out dozens of Hillary Clinton’s emails discussing her team’s exchange of information follow the moments after the Benghazi attacks as well as her relationship with controversial confidante Sidney Blumenthal, who sent over two dozen memos regarding Libya during her time as Secretary of State. The release of emails contradicts the White House’s narrative that the attack was driven by protests over an anti-Islam internet video. The release of the emails comes after a prolonged political fight for Clinton over her use of a private email server while serving as Secretary of State. On Tuesday, Clinton urged the State Department to speed up the vetting of the emails after the State Department originally suggested that the email release would not happen until January 2016.
