Burger King “Proud” Of its new Whopper

Burger King pushes its “Proud Whopper” on America

Most of you probably thought that Chick-Fil-A is the only fast food join that are displaying its cultural politics Burger King just re-energized their relationship with the LGBT community by creating the new “Proud Whopper”. The Whopper was introduced during the San Francisco Pride Parade. The slogan for the Proud Whopper is “We are all the same inside,” which is displayed on the inside of the wrapper.

Burger King released a video showing customers attempting to understand the meaning of the Proud Whopper. One child said he thinks the wrapper means that we all have the same rights. One customer was in disgust of the burger and said they would no longer have his business. This effort is part of Burger King’s fight to connect with customers.

After introducing the Burger, what is next? Red Eye’s Greg Gutfeld points out the possibility of a “Black Burger” in support of Black History Month in February. The other aspect of the whopper that gets ignored over the homosexual debate is the fact that the money raised through the sales of the Proud Whopper raises money to help send high school seniors, LGBT or otherwise, to college.
